Error - ACT 6.0 application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience |
Your ACT program was not installed properly. Something had interfered with the original installation process like Norton, MacAfee, etc.. Very Important Note: Before proceeding please have your ACT! CD and Serial Number handy.
Step A. Selective Startup
- Go to Start on your computer, Run, type in msconfig and press enter.
- Choose Selective Startup.
- Click on the Services tab.
- Check “Hide All Microsoft Services”
- Press “Disable All”
- Press “Apply” and then OK.
- Reboot your computer.
- Keep the msconfig interface open
Step B. The proper way to uninstall ACT
- Close all programs
- Go to ‘Start’ on your computer and select Control Panel
- Choose Add/Remove Programs
- Select ‘ACT’ to remove.
Note: Do NOT remove Act4Advisors.
- REBOOT YOUR COMPUTER
- Keep the msconfig interface open
Step C. Install ACT and Open ACT to properly Register.
Step D. Go to msconfig interface and choose Normal Startup on the General tab, Apply and OK – Reboot computer.
Step E. Open ACT.
