My Installed Version:
Use the following steps to determine your installed version of ACT!:
  1. Launch ACT!
  2. Click Help menu, and then select About ACT!


  3. The About ACT! dialog box appears. The version number appears near the top of this box.

Important Notes Before Applying the ACT! 2009 (11.1) Service Pack

  • ACT! 2009 (11.0) users cannot share the same database with ACT! 2009 (11.1) users. All users in a workgroup must be on the same version to access and take advantage of the new release.
  • ACT! Premium and ACT! Premium for Web users who share a database must also be on the same version number in order to access and share data. Administrators for these mixed environments should wait to update to ACT! Premium 2009 (11.1) until both Web and Windows® versions are available.
  • If you are using ACT! Network Sync service or ACT! Internet Sync service, you must also update these services to 11.1 as well. Please see the following Knowledgebase articles on updating these sync services:

Download the ACT! Update
  1. Please click on the link below for the appropriate update version of ACT!
  2. The File Download - Security Warning dialog box appears.
  3. Click Save. The Save As dialog box appears. Browse to your desktop, then click Save.

Applying the Service Pack 1
  1. Close ACT!, and the following Microsoft programs: Word, Excel®, Internet Explorer® and/or Outlook®.
  2. Ensure you are logged on to your computer with local Administrative rights.
  3. Double-click the ACT! Update file. The Unpacking ACT! progress indicator appears, followed by the following dialog box: 

  4. After pressing Yes, the InstallShield - Preparing to Install wizard progress indicator appears: 


  5. Once the preparing process is complete, the InstallShield Wizard - Welcome dialog box appears: dialog box appears. 


  6. Click Next. The License Agreement dialog box appears. Read the License Agreement and click Accept


  7. The Setup Status dialog box appears while the update is being applied. 


  8. When the Setup and Installation has been completed, the following InstallShield Wizard - InstallShield Wizard Complete dialog box appears. 


  9. Click Finish to finalize the installation.
